Driver Turns Self in After Fatal Hit-Run in Winslow
JANUARY 3, 2011 WINSLOW, NJ — Camden County authorities say a driver has been charged in a New Year’s Day hit-and-run that killed one person and seriously injured another. Forty-two-year-old Sam Miles IV of Williamstown turned himself in late Saturday afternoon. He was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident that resulted in a fatality and was released after posting $50,000 bail. Authorities say the accident occurred sometime between 3 a.m. and 3:40 a.m. Saturday in Winslow. Stacy Casalnova, 23, and Sean Scolla, 29, both of Winslow, were struck as they walked home from a nearby establishment. Casalnova was pronounced dead at the scene, while Scolla remained in critical but stable condition at Cooper Hospital in Camden on Sunday. — Associated Press
